WINEMAKER OUT OF PASSION
The story of the Pratenberghof in Merano started a few decades ago, but nowadays not much besides the name and the stunning view remained from the old days.
Finally, in 2011 we started to write our own story, with us I intend the Flarer family who took over the ruinous farm in South Tyrol.
THE VISION
The love and passion for wine,
paired with the want to create something own,
led to an idea; the idea to run a small independent winery in South Tyrol.
This idea became reality.
Change became an everyday routine.
Appletrees became vines.
The best grapes, noble wines.

THE PHILOSOPHY
THE GRAPE INTO THE GLASS.
Wines have to stay wines. For us, this means to produce clean unfalsified wines from the best and healthiest grapes of the vineyard.
Wines that reflect the characteristics of the soil and their mineral composition, cold nights and sunny days.
Wines that are like a review of every year, it is as if they were able to remember dry months, stormy weather and sunny spring days.

IN THE LITTLE
Our vineyard is small and for us, this is one of our most valuable assets because it gives us the opportunity to focus on every little detail. This allows us to aim for the highest possible quality, which is the key basis for our wines. Every successful wine has its roots in the vineyard and the quality of the grapes and not in the wine cellar. It is then in the hands of the cellar master to find a consequential and consistent progression.

THE CELLAR
The cellar, characterized by the rock that characterizes our vineyard, is symbolic of the last phase of the project. In September 2019 the time had come and our grapes were cellared there for the first time. And mature in stainless steel and wooden barrels to become a real luxury food.
